Ken was upset, because with the re-emergence of the Mal it was becoming increasingly difficult to catch a wave on his wave ski. As the Mals, being much longer, could pick up the waves a couple of meters before his short, wave tuned, wave ski could.This meant that the inside man on most of our point break waves was nearly always on a Mal. (Mal de mere??? couldn't resist, sorry.)

As a solution Ken had identified that we needed a lot more waves, (not less Mals) to give everyone a chance.  Next
