In our
opinion a lot of beach sand has been washed away over the last two
days and with the giant swells set to peak and continue for the next
2-3 days we will see if the Narrowneck Reef stops extreme
erosion.

The beach as of
11-4-2001 Low Tide
We
will also get to see if the Reef made of Geotextile bags is still
intact and in-place after Sose. We will publish a new "erosion"
image in three days time. Come back and compare!
Friday-13th-April 2001
It is difficult to show but in our opinion the
"reef" did prevent some erosion of sand. However there is only a 20
meter gap of sand left above the high tide. It looks like
one more storm and the beach will be washed away. A triumph
of nature over man?
Update: 21/5/2002
We are now past our peak storm period and there
is little likelihood of a cyclonic swell testing the reef for the next
six months....
